British media personalities have had a notably mixed reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent visit to Nigeria.

The trip, part of their ongoing global engagements, has sparked criticism and skepticism among some UK commentators.

The Express noted that some media figures viewed the visit as an attempt by the couple to reclaim their influence and visibility after perceived snubs from the British royal family.

There were mentions of the visit being a "key message to the Palace," suggesting that Harry and Meghan might be trying to showcase what they could have achieved within the royal fold

Critics also labeled the trip as an "unofficial royal tour," with some media outlets mocking their efforts and questioning their motivations. Some commentators argued that the couple’s actions might be seen as an attempt to maintain a royal-like presence despite stepping back from official duties.

During a recent show focused on Harry and Meghan’s visit to Nigeria, a British media personality Kevin O’Sullivan described Nigeria as a lawless country where female gender mutilation is rife, where women have no rights at all and where children as kidnapped by Islamic terrorists.

He also claimed that Harry and Meghan are making Nigeria look good when it doesn’t deserve it.

This was backed by Michael Cole, a royal commentator who claimed that Nigeria vies with Johannesburg as murd£r capital of Africa.

Cole also claimed that Nigerians defraud British women seeking love and nothing is being done about it.

It is however interesting to note that the media company which shares all its interview clips on Instagram, refused to share this particular clip which has now gone viral.

Awon oloshi....is it UK that is worthy to be called a country? Your king is even a King in England only, not even UK. And your corpses are rotten away in your mortuaries while your citizens can't even afford to seek medical help on time. You have problems with Harry, let it be...because he is an embodiment of what you all can never be and a stark reminder of his mother, Diana. Useless lot

I hate when foreigners talk about Nigeria this way. We may be worse than all they said, but who gave them the right to talk about us? Is the UK safe for anyone? With all the knife attacks and death in London and Manchester. They should fvck off of our affairs and take off the log of wood in their eyes first.
