The accuracy or lack thereof of a prophecy is not the only yield-stick with which to judge the veracity of the a prophecy. In so much as I am not ascribing any nefarious activities or associations to Pastor TBJ...the truth is satan and demons also prophecy in the Bible and most times those prophecies also come to past.

The Bible says, prophecies are for the edification of the believer. If one is prophesying about an event that have 100% scientific probability of taking place e.g. mass shooting in the USA or the death of a terminally ill patient; that prophecy lacks the edification element. It is like prophesying that, it is going to rain this year, when there is no sign of drought....., it does not edify the believer, it does not confound the unbeliever to give praise to God.

Imagine how dejected the believers and excited the unbeliever in Elijah's time would have been, if he had pour petrol on those firewood, then light a match and call on God to miraculously make the woods to catch on fire?....instead, Elijah poured water onto the firewood and ask God to light it on fire and it came to past...

Imagine how Angel Gabriel would have been a laughing stock, if he had prophecy that; a married fertile young lady will miraculously give birth to a baby boy?..instead the prophecy was, a virgin will give birth....

Secondly, not all prophecies needs prayers to God for them to take place...except you all believe that God have completely abandon the earth and he needs the prayers of the believers each time to intervene in the affairs on earth...The Bible says nothing takes place on earth without the permission of God...if we ascribe every positive thing as been the resultant of our prayers, we then paint a picture of a God who by default will not do anything positive unless we people pray...you will agree that, that is not accurate....Yes we have to pray to overcome the flesh each day, pray for miracles and God's interventions in things that are beyond our abilities and be born again.

We need prophecies that will edify the believers and confound the unbelievers...prophecies like 'there will be no single mass shooting in the US in the year 2013"...prophecies like the devil is engineering a plane crash with no survivals, but the Lord said he will revise it, and that the plane will crash alright, but there will be no lost of lives...prophecies like a terminally ill patient of national/international repute will recover from his/her illness and will praise the Lord again....

You do not believe the prophesy simple. No need for long talk or preach. Juts listen to what prophet TBJOSHUA said carefully>.
He said a man will come out shooting in America, but before he will be arrested many people will die. Was is not what happened?
Why didnt he say that the police will shoot and kill the shooter while shooting?

That prophecy  range was a lil too wide to zero in .....   I am sure people pray in America and of course the prayer hasnt stopped the shootings anyway

Shooting is a common thing in America so it wasnt like a new thing in a country where everyone has access to firearms .

It wasnt clear how soon .  that was going to happen .  what time of day .   was not specified
The place .  America is a huge place .  no one knew which of the many states was going to be involved .   and which city  or sububurn .  and even if u know the sububurb you still need to know the social settings all these were left out of the prediction ..    
One would have thought the shooting would have taken place in a an educational institution as was typical of such shootings  or maybe a social gathering .  was it going to be social live entertainment like .  singing  or dancing entertainment .   ??  

The only thing that came out repeatedly was homeland security .   who wasnt a person .  even homeland security is a wide wide   wide institution .  

So in the end . .  people can see things ahead of time ..  but making it sensible enough to act upon is a task greater than just seeing and reporting . That might sound more like great prophetic  messages .   Just in my own honest opionion.   !!!  Well done pastor but you could still do better next time !
