WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT -- South African police open fire on striking miners armed with machetes and sticks at Lonmin's Marikana platinum mine, killing at least a dozen men in the deadliest episode of a week of union violence. The SAPA domestic news agency says one of its reporters counted 18 bodies after the shooting near a squatter camp close to the mine, which occurred when police laying out barricades of barbed wire were outflanked by some of an estimated 3,000 miners massed on a rocky outcrop near the mine, northwest of Johannesburg. (August 16, 2012). "BUT WHY SHOULD THIS HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE", Is there no more value for human life?

The miners actually attacked the police and some people in their midst opened fire as well and the police was forced to shoot back at them. Besides, only about 11 or less people died. They were not even up to 70 protesters!
Where on earth do you guys get your news from?

I dont mean to be rude but saying only 11 people were killed is too bad of you, No amount of life taken is small even that of a new born not to talk of 11 souls....

To all those ignoramuses singing the praise of Mandela all over African, this is one good example of the result of the seed of betrayal he sowed decades ago. And trust me, more is yet to come.
