A Nigerian nurse living abroad has taken to Facebook to publicly air her grievances against her mother, accusing her and other family members of entitlement, manipulation, and disrespect.
The nurse, known online as Nurse Glory, has built a social media following by sharing snapshots of her life with her Serbian husband and their biracial children. But in recent weeks, her content has taken a dramatic turn as she clashed with her twin sister—and now her mother—in a series of emotional posts.
In her latest outburst, Nurse Glory alleged that her family in Nigeria has become hostile because she and her husband decided to stop financially supporting them.
“They feel entitled to our money,” she wrote. “Now they’re attacking me for setting boundaries.”
She cited a specific incident following the birth of her child, JJ, in Dubai. Due to visa restrictions, her mother and son were unable to visit, prompting the couple to invite her Serbian mother-in-law instead. Rather than show understanding, she said her mother accused her husband of using *juju* to keep her away.
“She refused to come to Serbia when I invited her,” Glory added. “She called it a poor country, yet her Nigerian passport couldn’t even get her to Dubai.”
The nurse also revealed that her twin sister had applied for a UK visa for their mother three times—all unsuccessfully—yet their mother had never blamed the sister’s husband for the rejections, suggesting favoritism in the family.
“She didn’t accuse her favorite son-in-law of blocking her visit or doing witchcraft,” she noted, contrasting it with the way her husband has been treated.
Adding fuel to the fire, Glory recounted how her family expected financial assistance for the UK visa process, even when she couldn’t afford it.
“I was saving for Uche at the time,” she wrote, “but my mom still insulted us as though she had access to our bank account.”
She concluded her post with a pointed hope that her mother would eventually get a visa and “leave Nigeria,” suggesting the experience might shift her outlook.
The explosive post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising the nurse for standing her ground while others criticized her for taking family matters to social media.
