You need to see what the churches are doing in USA. Some give out to the poor, they feed them by organzing free food that can be obtained at the chruch premise on a particular days of the week. They also see to the welfair of thier members, reach to the poor masses in terms of natural diasters. I think Nigerian chruches are not doing enough. They are greedy and want to amass weatlh as much as possible and will tell their member that God would bless them aboundantly. As if thier is magic to wealth. Instead of buliding Universiies why not use that money to establish a very good companies that would be manage by members who are highly educated and professional and also engage the less privilege members of their churhes who can not afford three square meal not to talk of the so call school fees.If I may ask, these so call universities bulid by members money is it meant to be property of the chruch or it belongs to the founder of the so caledl church. If it belong to the church , do they declared profit at the end of the year.If it belong to the founder it means at the demise of the founder the properties will be bequated to the children of the founder who will use the wealth to oppresed the poor members of the chruch. We have seen a case where by the founder children were roude to the elders of the chruch simply becuase the so called founder was rich at the deteriment of the poor chruch members. They can also engage in social services by utilising the money to build library within the vicinity of the chruch, build hospitals or clinics which members can attend.Provide for the aged , engage in mechanise farming that will supplement the food in the country. This money could be use for all this purpose instead of buliding university. They can donate to the existing ones and also donate for resarch. By so doing life will be more meaningful ,and this will be a challenge to our so called government who just embezlled money instead of taking care of business. By so doing they always call the attention of what they have done and how they improved the quality of life for the masses

U don't have to brain wash your chruch members simply because you want to expoit them. The best is use the money wisely. And also help the less privilege among them. With this people will know where their donation is going. They so calll property dose not belong to chruch but to the founder.period.Who gain who lose.

All church university should be affordable both for poor and any committed member that want to study in that school those institutions are build with our tithe and offerings and some of those so called pastors should stop calling them self men of God they are just bunch of criminals but one thing i know is that we all will die one day and give account of our life here on earth.

Blame the government, not rich pastors who wisely invest church money! Is he the one that made people poor??? The finger should be pointed at the real culprits that steal money for the poor cos nigerians are real hypocrites! Angry if most of you here have one fifth of what this man has you won't ever think of the 'poor'! He is living his dreams & vision,do likewise, after all he nor tif the money!!!

Whatt people don't know is that education is priceless..if the government were to remove the subsidies on its institituions, believe me only an elite few will go to school...all state and federal schools are subsidized..people should get informed instead of heaping ignorant critisizms..

Seven more universities, that's more church tithes & offerings mostly from the poor. Die-hard businessmen will always exhibit some greed. Prophet Mohammed was greedy for women, just as Pentecostal pastors are with material wealth, that's religion for you.

i wish to register my angst over some unfair deeds of some churches hierarchy. it beats ones imagination to come to think of these exploits of the super rich over peasants who toiled both night and day to see to the actualization of church projects only to be deprived when its time for the 'harvest.' dear faithfuls, be wise and not foolish in the name of 'service to God and the church'

I do not think anybody is being forced to donate or pay tithes. Tithes are payed voluntarily by believers who believed that God will reward them in due course. The tithes are meant for the man of  God who has given himself wholly and holy to serve God. If the man of God has sown spiritual things into the lives of people and it has benefited them, is it too much if he reaps physical things to meet his needs and aspirations in life?  God's standard is high and the man of God has set a standard for his denominations, institutions and businesses. My prayer is that God Almighty will bless me too so that I can do what he has done and surpass it in Jesus Name.
