The Deputy Governor of Akwa-Ibom, Mr Nsima U Ekere, Wednesday tendered his resignation letter to the government of the state.



Mr Nsima U Ekere in the letter, dated 31th of October 2012 and addressed to the Governor, seek resignation from office with immediate effect.
Ekere thanked the Akwa-Ibom government and the people for the opportunity giving to him serve the state.

I refuse to be fooled,right from the beginning of this 4th republic on 29th May,1999,no member of the political class ever resigned from office voluntarily,it is simply not a Nigerian culture,they always resign under duress,the last of them Prof.Bart Nnaji was forced to resign by the PHCN Contractors and the Generator Importers cartel,I have the gut feeling that this story is still unfolding and we shall know the details soon.
