Akwa Ibom gets new Deputy Gov.

Following the resignation of Nsima Ekere,former deputy Gov of Akwa Ibom State,The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has ratified the nomination of Lady Valerie Ebe as the Deputy Governor of the state. She takes over from Mr. Nsima Ekere who resigned on Wednesday, October 31, 2011.
Lady Valerie Ebe, a former Commissioner for Environment in Akwa Ibom State is expected to be sworn in any moment from now.
She is significantly the first female Governor since d state's creation.
