His mother gave him away to an Italian couple when he was a baby. Her reason for this, according to her was that she was unable to look after him when he was sickly. This is something that will play on the mind of Balotelli for a long time and his mother should understand this. Again the idea of giving your child away and then wanting to be recognised as the mother when the child becomes a household name across the world is to me being two-faced!!! If he had turned out to be a "normal" person - a teacher, banker, cleaner etc would she be seeking his face?

Where was the mother when he took on the Italian family surname?

Even though I find Balotelli's behaviour at times to be obnoxious, one cannot blame him for "neglecting" birth mother. And secondly, one wonders his relationship with his adopted family.

His birth mother should go ad look after her other children she did not give away and thank God her "son" is alive and "doing well."
