Eric Schmidt’s statement that the entire world will be online by the end of 2020 seems a bit over the top though, in our humble opinion.

Frontiers and Google and classrooms with Internet accessed powered by solar panels from Samsung are still being tested.
Others, such as mobile banking projects in Kenya or localized services through Nokia Life are already functional and successful.
However, development takes a long time and Schmidt’s statement seems very optimistic considering that many areas of the world have problems with water or food and internet access is the least of their problems.
