They had no problems watching whacked out porn in public, but they have a problem with anyone insulting Islam - which means anything - a cartoon, a cough, and reply with violence. I am a Muslim. While I do not support this beauty contest, I do not think
this young woman deserve the humiliation and condemnation she got.
The rhetoric was full of hatred and violent words. I just hope no harm
comes to her. This is a learning experience for everyone.
This happened in Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation in the world.
I do not think these contestants were parading in bikinis or any
revealing attires. The organizers may have been misguided but I do not
think they intentionally set out to insult Islam.
Remember they too are Muslims.
