The internet guy asked if I was a black American (I wasnt) he said, good, I hate Americans. I went on the internet, and around me were all muslims on the other computer stations watching porn in broad view of their "modest women" who were in head to toe garb. They had no problems watching whacked out porn in public, but they have a problem with anyone insulting Islam - which means anything - a cartoon, a cough, and reply with violence. I am a Muslim. While I do not support this beauty contest, I do not think
this young woman deserve the humiliation and condemnation she got.
The rhetoric was full of hatred and violent words. I just hope no harm
comes to her. This is a learning experience for everyone.
This happened in Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation in the world.
I do not think these contestants were parading in bikinis or any
revealing attires. The organizers may have been misguided but I do not
think they intentionally set out to insult Islam.
Remember they too are Muslims.
