Nigeria's Super Eagle striker, and Toronto FC player Bright Dike will not make his all important debut at the 2014 World Cup after surgery on an Achilles injury. #Verysadnews

Speaking on the 27-year-old's  absence from the World Cup, Nigeria's head coach stephen Keshi said: "I felt terribly bad for him when I first heard; unfortunately injury is part of football.
