Covenant University, which is a private Christian University owned by Living Faith Church founded by Bishop David Oyedepo, is banning its student from using or being in possession of gadgets such as SIM enabled tablets and more.
The University which is based in Ota, Ogun State, is known for its strict disciplinary rules and low tolerance any form of misconduct among its students.
According to a statement released yesterday by the institution’s Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Azubuike, the school is placing a ban on the use of “phone chargers, SIM Cards, and SIM enabled devices [like] iPad, Techno, Samsung and other unpopular tab brands” in the school.
According to the release any student found with these prohibited materials will be punished with a 4-week suspension.
The students will wake up one morni g with a pinned up note stating -IF YOUR EYES DECEIVE YOU PLUCK THEM OUT. Students will be searched at anytime and if they are found to have WANDERING EYES - the eye(s) will be CONFISCATED and the student SANCTIONED (4 weeks learning to use a stick to get around campus and learning BRAILLE).

Angesco,angesco,angesco,hw many times did I call u? U shd hv d sense 2 knw dat d Bishop will nt mke such rules witout d consent of d parents. Most of dez parents dnt train their children well so dey dump dem in schs like d convent Uni 2 help in trainin their childrn.

D Bishop can neva mke such decisn witout d consent of d parents.Be aware dat dey hold parent/head meetings,so d parents dat can't contrl their children dump dem in dat sch 2 be disciplined.
