Sad News: Classic FM OAP Sylvester “Sly” Ojigbede Passes Away. See His Last Tweet.

Popular Classic FM OAP – passed away this morning!

The radio jock usually presented The Morning Show from (6am to 11am) with Bukola Ogunride and Jimi Disu. It is being reported that he died from a brief spinal chord illness, other details of his illness are yet to emerge.

Listeners to his show had noticed that the recognizable voice had been missing from the airwaves for a coupe of weeks now.



In his last tweet on April 19th 2015, he replied a fan who had asked why he hadn’t been on his regular morning show

This is so sad. I kept seeing his picture all over Facebook this morning and it took me back to the one time I met him briefly last year November. My boss at tw Magazine Adesuwa Onyenokwe, myself and Mo’ Cheddah had visited Classic FM in Lagos, together to promote the November “Music” issue of tw Magazine, we met him and Bukola and right before we went on their morning show, he made us feel so at ease. I’m not saying this because he is no longer with us, but he was such a nice guy, very friendly and he made this radio newbie feel less nervous about being on radio.
