There was rumpus at the entrance of the National Assembly in Abuja on Tuesday as scores of protesters barricaded the gate, singing solidarity songs in support of the embattled Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

Armed with placards bearing different inscriptions such as,
Quote
“Enough is enough, we support Saraki and Ekweremadu”, they warned anti-graft agencies to desist from being used against perceived “political enemies.”

It will be recalled that Saraki was docked last Tuesday at the Code of Conduct Tribunal where he pleaded not guilty to falsification of documents in his assets declaration form when he served as governor of Kwara State.

It is a shame on this rented crowd….

I am not surprised….we cannot not move on as long as we have non-entities adoring and worshiping big-time criminals.
These allegations are well founded and yet some cannot comprehend.
These thugs barricading the gate are the same people that will do jungle-justice to a petty thief or criminal and kill the targeted suspect
......but will not do that to millionaire and billionaire thieves.

In a normal society Saraki should have stepped down temporarily pending the disposition of the case.
