Our number one problem in this country is GREED.
Secondly, over-RELIGIOUS (lip service) citizenry,
and thirdly, POLITICS (chop-i-chop or if-i-get-there-i-go-chop-my-own mentality).
These will take us no where.

To buttress my points, consider a country like Sierra Leone - GREED - Diamond did mess up their minds that they killed themselves for it.

Also, countries like Iran, Afghanistan etc. - the over-RELIGIOUS attitude- They hide under that cloak to inflict hideous pain and death to God's creation. These they do calling "their god" as they commit inhumanity. Can you fight for God? This is about how we Africans, especially Nigerians behave these days. True-RELIGION now lives far from our abode because if given what we needed, we would forget God totally.

Finally, African style POLITICS - I call it 'POLITRICKING' -This has become a legal means of pilfering, which most often increases to looting of government purse by officials "selected", I beg your pardon "we thought we elected" to serve our interests.

Critically looking into these, we would find out that these are the characteristics of most fallen countries. We also would agree that countries we call great today became what they are because they hauled down their gauntlets and put their hands to work.

Nigeria will be a better place when we put in the right attitude by working hard, day and night. We should  shed some of these "white man's culture" and embrace some diplomacy in dealing with foreigners.

God Bless Nigeria.

I wonder what is really wrong with Nigeria. This country is rich. Our sand is money, everything is good, but still the standard of living here is very bad compared to other African country. Growing up has always been a harrowing experience for a lot of youth who go to higher institution, after graduation, no work.
I have a German friend, he said We are blessed in this country, no earth quake, no natural disaster our soil is money. He said that let the German come to Nigeria and see what they would make here in five years.
I travel a lot through the Mokwa, Jebba road, a lot of accident happen a long the road. No motorable road, this morning i was inside the teaching hospital, about 10 corps are brought in as a result of road accident.
What is wrong with Nigeria?

PLEASE give me a break.........
Actually there is nothing wrong with Naija

All we have to do is to end the sit down look attitude and do something meaningfull on our side.Look at what other Nationals are doing ( they know their rights and also have it) while an average 9ja man will knw his right but can't get and he still wants to have it not knowing that those(other Nationals) who are having it didn't get it on a platter of gold, they fought for it.

THUS FAR, HISTORY HAS TAUGHT US THAT, TO TAKE A FEW EXAMPLES: CORRUPTION, TRIBALISM, GREED, AND TYRANNY HAVE ONLY BROUGHT UNPLEASANT CONSEQUENCES UPON US AS A NATION AND PEOPLE. THESE AND OTHER PROBLEMS CAN BE RESOLVED. MOST NIGERIANS SHARE FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, AND MARRIAGES WITH PEOPLE OUTSIDE THEIR TRIBES, CAN THIS FACTOR NOT BE EXPLOITED TO WATER DOWN TRIBALISM? ON THE OTHER HAND WE ALL CLAIM TO HATE THE SITUATION ON GROUND, CAN WE NOT INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY BEGIN TO WORK TO CHANGE IT? LASTLY, LEADERS ARE THE PRODUCT OF A SOCIETY, IS IT NOT TIME WE BEGAN CULTIVATING A GENERATION THAT WILL BLOSSOM INTO THE KIND OF LEADERS WE YEARN FOR? NOBODY CAN FLATLY ASSERT THAT NIGERIANS ARE BAD PEOPLE, SO LET US BRING OUR GOOD QUALITIES TO BEAR ESPECIALLY ON GOVERNANCE, FOR OUR COMMON GOOD.  YES WE TOO CAN. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

 Roll Eyes

Basically, there are 3 things that is wrong with Nigeria:

1.  Greed    2.   Greed   3. Greed.

If u say we are poor, what caused the poverty? Greed. If u say we are underdeveloped, what then is the cause? Greed.
If u conclude that we lack good leaders, what is in your own opinion is the cause? Certainly is Greed.

The project Nigeria can not, will not and shall not work untill and unless we re-direct our attitude, behaviors and belief to a more resourcessul and developmental one. How on earth can you imagine a person stealing Billions of Naira when majority are swallowing in abject poverty n penury? It is only in country like ours that qualified n tested graduated will be denied jobs they are supposed to be given and priority given to unqualified n fake certificate holders.
Iam so angered i can not continue bcos Nigeria Problem may cause me heart break. Pls this is few that i have d patience to say here.

I sincerely believe that this country is greater than we could ever imagine and won't waste my energy listing all its resources and endowments. Our leadership however, lack the foresight, finesse, charisma and ideologies to lead the world's most powerful black nation as they've limited their ideas to looting and immediate gain along with blunt refusal to alter the ideas they learnt from the colonial masters in the early 1900s. These farts are the self same who dream up big ideas of national development but dont know the importance of an educational research grant to the universities. And dem too wan launch satellite!na today!
