Majority Leader of Nigeria's 8th House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila is proposing a law that will restrict foreigners from securing employment in fields where a Nigerian is qualified.

This proposed law which will address the growing unemployment in the country and be of big benefit to Nigerians, has already scaled second reading some days ago.. However some controversy came with it, as people who don't understand it's benefit criticized him for proposing such a bill. He took to his official Twitter handle to clarify things and shed some light on the law - for better understanding.

Femi Gbajabiamila, is the only person that can propose that type of law that can help the Nigerian youth. Femi, is a collosus, a genus & well educated who knows his left from his right. I know he will win.

And I wish d law will include average and poor citizens to secure a juicy jobs like d rich politician children too. Nice idea anyway. I pray its pass to law.

Nice move. The clause should also be included in all the FG contract awarded to the foreign companies too.
Nigerian should be employ to work with the Top management and few Mid management of the foreign companies to learn and further develop their skills. Even in some countries, a foreigner can never boss a citizen in respect of your experience and you can never earned more than citizen.

We should stop giving away our food to this foreigners.

The truth is that some of those we called expatriate are not as good as we think but we are being deceived by their skin colour.
How can a foreman in his country coming to Nigeria to become construction manager?

GOOD ONE FROM FEMI,,,, THERE ARE ENOUGH GRADUATES THAT CAN DO MOST WORK BUT WE END UP GETTING EXPATRIATE THAT KNOWS NOTHING,,, WHAT NIGERIANS THOSE NOT BENEFIT OUTSIDE. WE SHOULD FACE THE TRUTH AND SUPPORT FEMI... MOST OF THE TOP JOBS IN OUR OIL COMPANIES ARE HEADED BY FOREIGNERS WHICH IS VERY BAD.
