Couple Injured As Edo- State Deputy's Convoy Hit Them Off The Road - Photo

A man and his wife at the weekend sustained injuries when the motor-cycle on which they were riding was hit by a driver in the convoy of Hon Philip Shaibu, the Edo State deputy governor. It was gathered that the convoy was on its way to Agenebode, Estako East local government area, for an event when the accident occurred. The victims were rushed to a private hospital for treatment.

An aide to the deputy governor who told Daily Trust reporter that the couple was hit by one of the Hilux vans in the deputy governor’s convoy, said the deputy governor later visited the victims and promised to pay the hospital bills and replace the damaged motor-cycle with a tricycle, in addition to assuring that the offending driver would be investigated and sanctioned accordingly.
