Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu, is on cloud nine after he married his sweetheart Henrietta penultimate weekend in Benin and has described his wife as his best friend.
He acknowledged that marriage was a tough venture but expressed confidence in the fact that he had made the right decision.
He said he dated his wife, who is the mother of their only child, for three years within which he understood her behaviour.
He said: “It’s always good to have a long relationship with someone you think you are going to settle down with. You know her very well and then she knows you too. Like my wife, I can even close my eyes and tell you everything about her. That is one thing that is very important which helps a lot in a marriage.
“I have known her for three and a half years, though we have our bad times, we quarrel and settle which is normal in any relationship. The good thing is that now we have known our good and bad habits, we know where we make mistakes; also we know how to manage ourselves. I believe our future together will be great.”
“ Definitely marriage is not an easy thing, but I pray that mine will bring me more successes in my career and even everything that concerns me.”
