Manchester City VS Newcastle United
Saturday (20/01/2018)
18:30 (WAT)

Manchester City
Manchester City will be without makeshift left-back Fabian Delph after he limped out of Sunday's defeat to Liverpool.

Brazilian full-back Danilo is likely to deputise with Benjamin Mendy still absent with a long-term knee injury.

Gabriel Jesus is also unavailable after suffering knee ligament damage against Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve.

David Silva could replace Ilkay Gundogan in midfield after the Spaniard missed the Anfield defeat with stomach issue.

Newcastle
Newcastle have new injury worries although Jesus Gamez, Florian Lejeune and Aleksandar Mitrovic are all doubts.

Striker Dwight Gayle is expected to feature despite being taken off in Newcastle's draw with Swansea.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on the Alexis Sanchez transfer situation: "He [Sanchez] is still an Arsenal player and it looks like he will go to United, so congratulations and good luck to them.

"My opinion of Alexis remains the same. It was a pleasure to be with him at Barcelona. He has decided to move on to another club and I wish him all the best."

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez: "When I was talking to Mike Ashley, he told me the takeover would not go through.

"We are doing what we have to do in this transfer window and preparing for the game.

"In terms of training, nothing changes. In terms of the transfer window, we have targets, we have names and we are trying to progress."
