With less than three weeks before the royal wedding, Britain’s Royal Mint has released a special commemorative coin to mark the occasion. The £5 coin is adorned with an image of the couple gazing into each other’s eyes, clearly based on the photographs taken at Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden during the photocall that took place on November 27 to announce their engagement.
The gold proof coin created for the upcoming royal wedding is priced at £1,980, the silver proof at £82.50 and the brilliant uncirculated coin costs £13.

On March 1, The Royal Mint presented a new collection of 10p coins that it described as “quintessentially British”.
