Some blogs have been sharing news from a fake Femi Otedola's page of his intention to run for Lagos state governorship office in 2019, many blogs including Linda Ikeji blog ran the news, wrongly informing public of Femi Otedola's political ambitions, but upon serious and tireless investigation, Gistmania staff uncovered that the news was indeed pulled from a fake Femi Otedola's handle and the blogger had not carried out due diligence before hurriedly putting out the news to draw traffic to her blog:
