it is due to poverty, infidelity, lack of trust etc the rich don't marry the poor for the fear that they maybe golddiggers while the poor refuse to marry the poor for the fear of too much suffering.

Marriage is a life time contract by definition...ppl are no longer committed to one another, instead, self interest is the order of the day. In that case, society will only produce more singles than couples.

the reason we still have singles of both male and female is becos guys are scared of getting maried while the  ladies enjoy being single cos they dnt want to be under any man while some want to marry but the men are running away vise versa
