WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE TO HIDE THEIR IDENTITY ?

I do wonder why people should hide their identity. What is the motive behind this? there might be one thousand and one reasons for this but is it right? What will make one to hide or clone his or herself. Anyway what do your think? Lets discuss this...

1. Just cos Ur sane doesnt mean the next person going thru Ur private details is.

2. Revealing Ur identity freely isn't always such a good thing. Sometimes U need to develop some confort level with people before U do, and even then, it's n bits and pieces till they earn more of Ur trust.

3. U never know what those that have ur details myt use them for.

Why will I just come out online to reveal everything about me to all lunatics who care to know? It doesnt make sense. I already have enough friends who know all about me, and if I'm not comfortable with you, forget my identity. Some people just need to get away from their everyday lives.

Am an open person and so I don't hide my identity. To me it gave the person the right to decide if he/she want to be in my friendship. I respect those who I build friendship and then after I learned to trust them more I begin to see them more as a brother or sister to me. After my experience with earlier friendship I take this route and find it more refreshing because then I don't have to worry if a person find out about my status if he/she will still be friends with me. At least they get the option to choose upon meeting me.

I look at it like this God give each of us a choice. Why shouldn't I too. Then you have some persons who are afraid of identity thief and so will not but then again whether or not someone know you he/she can steal your identity if he/she so desire.
