The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has released photos of property allegedly acquired illegally by a former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

This is in the course of the investigation of corruption allegations against the ex- governor.

The anti-graft agency is questioning the ex-Governor on the N1.3billion which he allegedly collected from the office of the National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki during the last administration.

Fayose, who stormed the EFCC office in Abuja yesterday afternoon, has been in the detention following his refusal to admit receiving the fund from the ONSA.

The EFCC confirmed on Wednesday that Fayose was still being detained after over 24 hours, saying, “we are still within range. We are not keeping him but interrogating him.”

Why have you (EFCC) not quizzed the former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiemohle over the real mansions he owns all over the Country and outside the Country, as well as other former Governors, some of whom have decamped to APC to evade prosecution? We have not been making progress in our quest to rout corruption because we are selective in our fight against corruption. If really we want to fight corruption, almost all the past Presidents of this Country, former Governors, Members of the Senate, House of Representatives, and several Heads of Government Agencies will be in jail. But who will do that? because you must go to equity with clean hands. Among all the officials prosecuting corrupt Nigerians, there is not even  one person that is free from corruption. Most of them are even using their exalted offices to promote corruption.  Our President may be Mr. Integrity but he is not the one in charge of these agencies and until he begins to pick the right people, irrespective of their geopolitical zones, to fill these sensitive positions, corruption and corrupt people will continue to multiply by the day. May God help us.
