A crime is a crime and he should pay the penalty. He wanted money why never do the decent thing and ask the family if they can assist him. Instead went it through dubious ways. Now his son will think lesser of him. Until this child grow up and understand the situation then he will be able to forgive his father.

He kidnapped his son and it becomes success than he move on to other children. Crime breed crime and the police did a wonderful job in curving this one. What the Judge can do is sympathized and give him probation seeing that it is his first offence. Ask the in laws to help him by giving him a loan which payment goes through the court seeing that apparently they have money.
