Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna state governor was reportedly said to have been the hero of the day yesterday as his convoy foiled a kidnapping syndicates from carrying out their nefarious act along Kaduna-Abuja road yesterday, April 3rd.
According to his media aide, Samuel Aruwan, he was on his way to Abuja when he got to Akilubu village and saw vehicles being parked along the road by citizens alarmed that kidnappers had laid in wait.
The governor and his convoy were said to have advanced and engaged the criminals in a gun duel that made the hoodlums flee.
