Ribadu to be named ACN presidential candidate

uhu Ribadu will be presented as the presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) when the party holds its national convention next month. The Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbaja-Biamila, disclosed this last night in an exclusive interview with NEXT.

 

Mr Gbaja-Biamila said Mr Ribadu is the ideal choice for the party. "The party needs a courageous and bold individual who is determined to fight corruption, and all those qualities are in Ribadu," he said.

Mr Ribadu has been courted by several political parties since his return to the country three months ago and this may represent a major coup for the ACN.

Bola Tinubu, an influential member of the party, was seen as a potential obstacle because he was investigated by the EFCC during Mr Ribadu's stewardship. However, the two men made up publicly last month, during a book launch in Lagos.

According to Mr Gbaja-Biamila, Mr Tinubu is keen on an announcement being made immediately but the party has decided to unveil Mr Ribadu in October.

Happy to hear this ribadu is man of integrity,I believe the youths in the coutry will be happy as well but Jonathan is another person to watch out for however who so ever warn the race among both will be surport and am strongly believed that come 2015 ribadu will surely be

Goodluck Jonathan is the man for the moment. Nuhu Ribadu should wait for his own time because there is time for everything.

This is what we have all been praying for; having the best people compete. Jonathan is very credible, Ribadu is equally credible and so is Buhari. Let people of integrity come out and lets have a healthy 2011 election so that whoever wins will still be a man/woman of integrity with the country's interest at heart.

OBJ and his puppet GEJ will never conduct a credible election come Jan next yr so please Ribadu go start from somewhere, take a look at  Fashola and Oshiomole of Lagos and Edo state respectively, they are in total control of the states they govern presently. Hopefully,  if we can have such  personalities in the 6 Geo-political region of Nigeria definitely you guys can form a coalition 2015 to put smiles on our face.
