It is a shame that gambling is too normal in Nigeria that speaking against it sounds like the person is mad or mentally challeneged. Odemwingie has a very valid point, we all know there is now law in Nigeria no regulators or gambling wacthdogs that look after the mental health of gamblers, all we know is 'owo baba ijebu' and bet naija when in reality there are wider social and economic problems caused by these bettings and losing of money.
Odemwingie spoke well as a christian, but we have been so brainwashed that we really just believe church stuff and small things like that instead of believing in God and condeming evil behaviour like gambling etc
