
In a swift response to reports of segxwal assault, the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of Gadafi Bala, a 24-year-old man, on allegations of molesting a Junior Secondary School (JSS1) student from Aderegun Community High School in Ogijo, Sagamu.
According to Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the command, the Division Police Officer, upon receiving the distressing report, immediately visited the victim and ordered a thorough examination. Subsequent medical evaluation confirmed the grim reality: the girl had been subjected to rape.
Expressing the gravity of the crime, Odutola emphasized, "No person involved in such an act will evade punishment as it is a serious crime against human rights violations."
Following the confirmation of the examination results by a doctor from a government-owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly apprehended by law enforcement authorities.
Preliminary investigations into the matter have commenced, and the case is set to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough and discreet scrutiny.
