The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has handed the Federal Government a fresh 14-day ultimatum, to resolve pending issues.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, made this clear in a statement on Wednesday.

Osodeke said they were frustrated with the government’s lack of commitment and delay tactics.

Hence, it has given the President Bola Tinubu government a 14-day ultimatum which starts on Monday, September 23.

The statement read: “In view of the foregoing, ASUU resolves to give the Nigerian Government another 14 days, in addition to the earlier 21 days, beginning from Monday, September 23, 2024, during which all the lingering issues must have been concretely addressed to the satisfaction of the membership of the union.

“The union should not be held responsible for any industrial disharmony that arises from the government’s failure to seize the new opportunity offered by ASUU to nip the looming crisis in the bud.”

The government can't provide security to the people. The government can't subsidise even the most basic needs to the people (food, medical care, electricity...,), now I heard the evil government is planning on privatising all government owned institutions so that they'll remove their hands pata pata from Nigerians matter. Now tell me again, what do you say is the use/relevance of these politicians to Nigerians???
