Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has launched a scathing attack on governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporting Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, claiming they fail to recognize his influence.
Wike's remarks came during a grand reception in his honor, organized by the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress in Port Harcourt. Addressing the crowd, Wike asserted that the governors, including Adamawa State Governor Umaru Fintiri and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, are undermining his political stature.
"Don't ever think they are fighting me; they are not fighting me. I'm too big," Wike said at the event. "If you don't recognize someone who is bigger than you, then you are sick. I'm far bigger than all of them put together."
Wike, a key figure in the former G5 group of governors, dismissed any threats posed by his political rivals, calling them "empty." He reaffirmed his control over the party structure, despite opposition.
"I said nobody will take over the structure of the party. You can have all the money; if it didn't dey, it didn't dey," he added, referring to political power.
