Journalist David Hundeyin recently engaged in a heated online exchange with a South African X user who mocked Chidimma Adetshina for not winning Miss Universe 2024.

Adetshina, a South African of Nigerian descent, was initially involved in a controversy regarding her eligibility in the Miss South Africa pageant due to her mixed heritage and allegations against her mother.

Following her withdrawal, she was invited to compete in Miss Universe Nigeria, where she ultimately won the title and will represent Nigeria in the global competition​
