Lawal Adamu Usman, the senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has allegedly escaped an assassination attempt.

Usman, a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was elected to the senate in 2023.

The senator confirmed the incident on a Facebook post on Wednesday night, January 1, 2025.

“I just escaped an assassination attempt by some thugs in Kaduna North,”
he wrote but gave no further details.
