PHOTOS: Man Attacks Nursing Mother With Machete In Akwa Ibom

A nursing mother has been hospitalized after she was attacked by a man with a machete in Akwa Ibom State.

A media personality and humanitarian, Oge Yenne, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Thursday, January 30, 2025, said the suspect, a father of four, inflicted 13 cuts on the woman.
 
The victim is currently receiving treatment at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
 
Speaking to Yenne, the father of the victim (pictured) said his daughter was carrying her 2-month-old baby when the man suddenly appeared with a machete and attacked her.
 
“My daughter narrated that she was just sitting in the backyard with her baby. At some point, she came outside to pick the baby dryer and clothes. She climbed the staircase and went up. Next thing she saw was the guy coming out from the backyard with a neatly sharpened machete. She never had any problem with the man. No quarrel, nothing,” the father said.

I hope the animal has been arrested! Some humans don't have the right to live among us because of threat that they pose to the society. People with mental problems should not be left roaming free!
