Ikorodu Local Govt. Chairmanship Hopeful, Hon. Folashade Olabanji-Oba Hails APC Lagos On Commitment to Women Inclusion in Progressive Agenda

A grassroots political mobilizer and frontline chairmanship hopeful for the Ikorodu Local government, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has hailed the all inclusive steps taken by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the Trek Africa Newspaper by the Chairmanship Aspirant for Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba stated that, "Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has applauded the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter for its bold and commendable stance on gender inclusion, particularly its recent announcement prioritizing women's participation in the forthcoming 2025 Local Government Elections."

According to the statement, "Describing the move as a demonstration of true progressive leadership, Hon. Olabanji-Oba noted that the decision reflects the party's unwavering commitment to inclusivity and equity—ensuring that no one is left behind in the democratic process."

Reacting to the development, she stated: "Women and youth remain the most dynamic and energetic participants in our political landscape. It is heartening to see our party taking deliberate steps to guarantee greater inclusion and representation. This decision is a powerful motivation for more women to step forward and play active roles in governance. It will undoubtedly strengthen our party and deepen our democracy."

"She expressed appreciation to the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the unwavering support of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu."

She also commended the leadership of the APC in Lagos State and across the country for continually creating space for women to thrive politically.

"This is not just a policy decision—it is a clear signal that the APC is ready to harness the full potential of women in nation-building. We are deeply grateful," she added.

Thank You Jesus
