A 30-year-old mechanic, Saheed Raji, on Monday, committed suicide by hanging himself at the Sapati (Shepherd Hill) area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The father of four, according to his septuagenarian father, Pa Lasisi, did not show any sign of troubled mind before everybody went to bed on Sunday night, only to be found dead the following morning.
He was seen dangling from a rope in his ground floor room at the old one-storey family building.
He removed his pair of trousers, leaving his purple-colour T-shirt on, climbed a short wooden bench before he tied a short rope onto the wooden ceiling of the room.
The bench, which fell off beside him, must have been pushed off before he dangled his legs very close to the ground.
The incident was described by sympathisers who thronged the residence as mysterious because the deceased was seen by many of his friends playing around and drinking on Sunday evening.
The father told the Nigerian Tribune that he had already slept upstairs before Saheed entered to sleep and so could not ascertain how and why his son could have committed suicide.
The deceased was described as a gentle and easy-going person by many of the family members and friends.
He had been estranged with his wife, Suliat, for about three years, and was living alone in his father’s house with their four children being taken care of by the aged father.

But, can we say he was been controlled by african remote control? anyhow, may God forgive him and grant him peace in heaven.
