It has been a cat-and-mouse kind of existence – the Naval personnel being the cats while the civilians around them are the mice. The relationship is dogged by one incident after another, of civilians being harassed, intimidated, beaten up, maimed so much so that members of the public are beginning to question loudly enough what the Navy are doing in the state.

The physical assaults have become so common they hardly make news anymore.
source   GUARDIAN                    The story is too long and i am not into long things.
Our uniform men must stop this civilian brutality.

If that Naval officer come my way,
i will make use of my akpuobi well.

Madness in the Nigerian force continues! It is growing like wild fire Shocked. Police started it. Each section of Nigerian force want to taste their power on civilian to see if democracy has reduced them to just a defender for the nation or....and to guess how much right civilians have in the new system of governance. Are they trying to let the world see how careless Nigerian leaders are over the civilians because they are not well educated to have known other ways of giving such signal without exposing and abusing their profession Huh?. But, is this an implicit-concern from the less empowered corpse the force who cannot sue their seniors when they observe abnormalities and abuse of order-from-above Shocked  . Can somebody, please, tell me what is actually going on in different section of Nigerian force in the same form, serially  Shocked. Can anybody release a measurement for the amount of carelessness, that will be impartial for the govt in place, since this 'mehem'  started? What has this new govt been doing since this ''misconception of citizenry'' by different section of Nigerian force took a different dimension recently?  All the lovers of democracy and the new govt should join hand in delivering this message to the right ears just for the sake of the sibling peace at the present and for the safety of our new democracy. I love democracy, i like the new govt BUT I HATE CARELESSNESS and LACK OF CONCERN FROM ANYBODY....and any govt....Hence it is not too early to start condemning this salient elimination of human right and reckless threat to the society life. The existing character trait of threatening-behavior-in-Nigeria is that IT ALWAYS START GRADUALLY...........on TILL........it get to the RICH.  let this time not be like others when reaction will come after the Rich Has Started DANCING IN THE CIRCLE OF FEAR-------------------------something should be done NOW Cool Cool Cool
NOTED!

The issue is that when it happens with any other person its not news but with a military personel its news no Civillian would like to be cheated in any way, so if the carpenter did not do the job the naval personal and him had bargained for then he should be taught a lesson but not to beat.

bt de do show us on tv dat navy r helpn d pple arnd dem by providin social amenities 4 dem, they've neva showd us d bad syd b4... 2 dat capenta i say R.I.P

Nigerian media cannot own up most of their news about Nigeria in a long run. However the issue is that some of them have sold themselves to money so much that they forgot their professional ethics, the 'how to' and  the need to confirm a news b/4 releasing same.
Nigeria is more or less a mystery in terms of news. There is such write-up like ''militantism in Nigerian media''  Some of us will soon come across the book. Just make sure you grab one for urself .It is not very wise to center only on bad things anyways and as well not bad to let the concerned citizens to know what is at stage in effect.
There are normal ways to do this and still preserve the brightening image of the nation while beaming the light at least for the sake of the poor masses.......THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING..........It's just a betrayal to their well trained professional ethics to the detriment of society and security-------------EXTENSION OF MORAL DECADENCE CONTINUES----------------

This National disgrace is not pculiar to Navapersonnell but all the Military in Nigeria. In western world hardly you see a military personnel in the public except the police. Let these Military outfit be told in the strongest term that they are no longer in power and as such should leave the road alone for the Civilians. Military is no longer fashionable, they should engage in useful things like farming, road constructions etc Why should they not kill when they are engaged in all types of crimes ranging from bunkering, escorting illegal goods to their destination, arms trafficking, kidnappings, robbery among mamy others. A stolen company vehicle was found in one of their barracks in Lagos. About sixty per cents of armed robbers live in our various barracks. So many fake beer and products are manufactured in Barracks. GOCs should wake up and the President should embark on on total reform of our military. The culprit should be made to pay the price. The civilians should be very careful when dealing with them as well.
