Was it General Ibrahim Banbangida, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar or General Muhamadu Buhari who indicated to make Nigeria ungovernable if the Presidency of Nigeria should vacate the North in 2011? Was that a spirit-led prediction? Was that drinking deep from the wine of apprehension for legitimate power change? Did some Honourable members of the Nigerian Legislature not move for amnesty for Boko Haram? was that an abuse of authority or a display of authoritharian insomnia?
The trap shall have its catch but it will not be our president, Goodluck Jonathan. More than ever before, the attack on UN makes it imperative to for Boko Haram to be consigned permanently to dustbins of history. This is no longer peasants bombs attacking police stations in the north. Now we have massive explosives crafted into cars, maned by death seekers, pursuing the innocent blood of the Nigerian people and set to decimate the soul the international society propagating global well being. Now is when to jump clear of the trap that is set to be the undoing of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The course of action now stretches far beyond beyond political will. President Goodluck Jonathan must be the president of all Nigerians as we have made him. Whoever wants to exclude himself from Nigeria should be happy to commit suicide where he dies alone and not drag us all to the hades of collective greed in the climes of some elitist, power-drunken bigots.
