Lets say you met a guy and you had a fling with him but then things didn't work out. But you still wanted to be friends with him and you told him "let's just be friends", how would you react if he turned around and said..

"ill only be friends with you if you understand that I want you and that wont change?".

or

"I want you too much to just be friends so i'd rather be alone for now"

or

"I don't want your friendship, so don't offer it to me as a consolation"
