The Portuguese tactician is not happy with his side conceding from set-pieces and also explains that both Kaka and Mesut Ozil need to play in different positions

Madrid went behind to the visitors in the very first minute and also had winger Angel di Maria sent off in the second half, but a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped them to maximum points at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The win was the Spanish giants’ first in three league matches following their 1-0 defeat to Levante last weekend and a goalless draw with Racing Santander in midweek.
Mourinho was delighted to observe his team’s reaction and is quoted as saying by Madrid’s official website: "When you've had a week's worth of negative results, what the team needs is to have a good start, to score and to be relaxed.
“Things get even harder when you're losing 1-0 as soon as the game starts, but character shines through in difficult situations and the team reacted. We had 20 to 25 difficult minutes on the pitch, but we changed, took risks, reacted well and took the lead by half-time.
"We scored at the start of the second half and conditions were therefore good for us in order to be calmer and play better. Then they scored a goal in a situation I didn't like one bit.
“Set pieces are a basic part of football and we failed, therefore giving Rayo some life. We played well after their goal. We defended and our four-player lines were tighter and looked to counterattack.
“We deservedly defeated a side that showed why they won in the Second Divison last year and why they're having such a good run this season despite all the difficulties they've encountered. It was an important and unquestionable victory for us.”
The Portuguese tactician also had words of praise for both Kaka and Mesut Ozil but underlined the sacrifice they both would have to make in order to help the team.
"Kaka and Ozil played closer to the goal,” explained the 48-year-old. “We didn't have a true number '10' on the pitch, but there were three excellent playmakers out there.
“We started pulling off more efforts. It's a shame I had to replace Kaka when we were down to ten men because he was giving a very good performance.
"Kaka and Ozil have to be prepared both physically and mentally to adapt to play closer to midfield. It isn't easy for them to do this for 90 minutes. It's risky.
“They have to be fit and aware that Xabi Alonso can't play alone in midfield for 90 minutes. They both responded very well. They created ball movement and covered Rayo's exits. They played well. It was a situation of risk but they transformed it into a positive scenario for the team."
The win sends Madrid provisionally to fourth in the table with 10 points from five games.
