Before you all start making conclusions about love and tolerance, lets take a look at d doctrines and principles of the said school.
1. its a christian owned institution;
2. the school is based on biblical principles hence, the students r expected to be at the chapel every morning for prayers/devotion which a muslim will not be able to attend and as we all know, a house divided against itself cannot stand.
3. all students are expected to be at all services in the church i.e. Living Faith Church of which a muslim cannot attend. these and others which are known o everyone else should have stopped any muslim from applying to the school in the first place.
there r many other private universities in Nigeria that this student could have applied to why apply to a christian university?
i know of a private secondary school in Bida Niger state that do not admit christians.

I believe that in the spirit of tolerance, the student should be given a chance, Christianity is not a cult, there is nothing to hide anyone can learn about the morals and believes of Christianity. On the flip side, Nigeria do have an Islamic university too. Al-Hikmah University in Kwara state, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Hikmah_University - I would expect any Christian student applying to such school to be ready to forfeit certain doctrines of Christianity if he gets into the school, since it is a pure Islamic university. There shouldn't be anything wrong in diversifying and cross-learning, after all religion is an issue of the heart.

The admission board of Covenant University did so well as the school was built by the tithe and offerings of faithful christian,who believe in the value of quality education and admitting Muslims further,who might end up trying to blowing up a plane or a house after such quality education amounts to waste of energy and effort and contradicts the principles ideology behind the formation of the school. May i remind us that the Muslims in the school already has a history of disobedience to the strict christian laid down rules there and that was also put into consideration before the recent decision was arrived at. lolss

Very unfortunate we discriminate religiously, what a shameful act? I am a Muslim, I studied all along in some Christian schools; I know bible very well but, I am still a Muslim. You do not force anybody to embrace your religion but your act convinces the person. We should understand religion to be an individual’s belief; never you allow anybody to fool you; please think of it. Boko Haram whatever exists only in the Northern part of the country while the boy in question is a Yoruba boy besides, the covenant university itself is not in the Northern part of the country despite the fact that Boko Haram itself is never an Islamic sect. Government knows all about the formation, financing, objectives, and operators of Boko Haram. Nigerians should stop talking as we are not one, Boko haram killed a lot of Muslims brothers, so what are we talking about? Nigeria is a secular state thus, any religion is welcome. Covenant university authority should be very careful so that the credibility of the institution will not fall.The highly respected Bishop Oyedepo also should look in to this issue, for the reason that he can’t tell us he was not aware.
