yes it is coz historically,the british colonised almost every country n as part of d colonial admn. rule the colonial masters language was the official language,during d scramble 4 africa n d wider wrld,d british had more colonies dan any oda colonial power so dere was every tendency dat 1/3 of d wrld speaks english n u can b sure dat that is a whole lot.

He said d most popular nt d most spoken language which I think its english cos even dos who speak other languages know at least a little english or always want 2 study d english language.Think of it, D chinese, arabs,french, name them.
