Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta State governor, has publicly criticized actor Zubby Michael for the outfit he chose to wear to the funeral of his late colleague, Junior Pope. Junior Pope tragically died in a boating accident on April 10, 2024, along with other crew members.
His funeral was held today in Enugu State, and many of his colleagues attended to pay their respects.
Ossai was particularly displeased with Zubby Michael's choice of a red t-shirt for the solemn occasion, labeling it as disrespectful and inappropriate given the nature of the event and the young age at which Junior Pope passed away.
Ossai suggested that wearing a white or black outfit would have been more suitable for the funeral, expressing his disappointment with Zubby Michael's sartorial decision.
In his words: “This is disrespectful to late Jnr Pope. Dear Zubby Michael, this your red dressing is inappropriate. This your red t shirt dressing to the burial ceremony of late Jr Pope is annoying and disrespectful to Jnr Pope. Jnr Pope was so young when he di*d and doesn’t deserved you putting on red dressing to his burial ceremony. The burial ceremony calls for a sober reflection and not a celebration party ground. You could have gone there putting on black or white dressing . I am disappointed though you are a good guy and I so much love watching your movies .I know you did this in an error and I know you will Change next time . One love bro”
