11th HOUR LOVE? "Please don’t separate us", husband begs court

    A 27-year-old teacher, Rachael Onabule, on Monday  pleaded with an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve her marriage of six years on grounds of regular misunderstandings and unnecessary arguments. Rachael of Power Line area, Ita-Oluwo, Ikorodu, said there had always been misunderstandings between her and her spouse since they got married. She said she could no longer continue with the relationship and called for dissolution of the union blessed with two children.

     “We seem not to understand each other since we got married, I have left him for about two weeks now and returned to my parents,’’ she said. Her 36-year-old block-maker husband, Adekunle , countered the claims and begged the court not to separate them. “Although my wife has been denying me sex and receives strange calls from different men at midnight, I still love her.

    “Please don’t separate us,’’ he pleaded. The Court President, Alhaja Risikat Adesanya adjourned the case  till May 24 for possible reconciliation.(NAN)
