Actress JJ Bunny’s Gambian movie project titled ‘Groom’s Bride’, featuring some award-winning Gambian actors and Ghanaian lead actors Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, will hit Ghanaian silver-screens this month.
The movie will be premiered at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on June 29 via a grand red carpet ceremony, which is anticipated to bring visiting actors to town.
The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production.
The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.
JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana.
She has since remained in Africa as she has been bombarded with movie scripts. She has been described as a Nollywood US A-List actress residing in the United States. She is also a recording artisteand a filmmaker, who acted in her first feature film titled ‘Caged’ in 2009.
She has successfully transcended into the Nollywood and now Ghana’s film industry. She is now one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry.
Among her movie credits are ‘The Governors Gift’ featuring Jim Iyke and Tonto Dike, ‘Cage’ starring Desmond Eliot, ‘This is Houston’ featuring Ini Edo, ‘The Bed’, ‘Paparazzi’ with Van Vicker, ‘X-Class’, starring John Dumelo and ‘The other Side of Love’ with Ramsey.
All the movies were shot in the USA. Her first movie in Africa is ‘Groom’s Bride’.
She reportedly put up some great acting skills in the upcoming movie.
Africa’s reining best actor, Majid Michel reportedly acted with JJ in the movie for the first time.
It is yet to be confirmed if he had a feel of her lips, as he has tasted others belonging to renowned African actresses.
