Many women pray to marry the man they love,
God keeps responding them to love the man they marry!

There’s really nothing wrong with preferring to be single/unattached, although it has drawbacks too like you’ll grow old alone. But so many women reamin unmarried for so many reasons.. here are a few

1. Family or parental obligation
2. Trauma from Physical/segxwal Abuse
3. Trauma from Broken Relationships
4. Financial Instability
5. Self-contentment or Gratification from Family, Friends & Career
6. Choosy...Selective
7. Bad Character
8. Spiritual husband

Most Women (Especially in Nigeria) do not marry for Love. There is this very Erroneous impression that 'Marriage is meant to endured, not enjoyed' which is why many Girls prefer to 'rock' life before getting married. By the time she has had her fill of rocking, she is in her mid 30'sor 40's. A Girl would choose a Husband based almost entirely on the Man's 'wallet' rather than his emotional qualities. Some parents do help issues by forcing their children (based more on manipulative insecurity) to marry a wealthy suitor or from an influential families because of status concerns or even allowing old traditions to get in the way of their children's happiness like the 'Osu' tradition which as far as I am concerned is completely irrelevant to this age. They want to have a 'High Society Wedding' that will make them the 'envy' of their peers tend to use their children as a means of getting money for lifestyle that they see people enjoy. This search is long and rather tedious as most men are not as wealthy as the girls would like.  On the whole, people in this country sacrifice Love for Largesse (Compatibility for convenience). What shall it profit you to gain all the money and lose your happiness? However, there are situations where people may marry for love but money pressures may tear them apart. Age is another issue in terms of why women in Nigeria are still single. Men prefer younger women than those who in their middle ages. Moreover, women do not help issues as they are too 'Choosy' in their youth and resort to 'Shakara' thinking that the Best Husbands are gotten that way. They fail to notice the World is changing and that Men are not as patient as our forefathers used to be. Too much 'Shakara' means you will be pushing a lot of Men away, some of which could have been Their soul mates.
