The Joint Military Task Force in the Niger Delta region, “Operation Pulo Shield,” has arrested the most wanted ex-militant suspected to be behind the bombing of pipelines and vandalization in the region.
Seiyifa Gbereke a.k.a “General Cairo” was arrested in Yenagoa after the task force intelligence team tricked him out of his hideout in Warri.
The JTF Media Coordinator, Lt.Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, who paraded Gbereke before journalists at the JTF Headquarters in Yenagoa on Friday said the ex-militant had been on the task force wanted list for about four months before he was finally arrested in the Bayelsa State capital. Nwachukwu disclosed that Cairo was the ring leader of an eight-man gang destroying pipelines across the region. “He led a gang of eight to destroy Agip pipelines and that of Shell around various communities in the region. The communities including – Azabgene and Tuomo are located around the Taylor Creek area. Giving insight on how the 25 -year old Gbereke was arrested, the JTF media coordinator, disclosed that he was lured from his hideout in Warri to Yenagoa where he was arrested.

Our military can arrest those bombing & vandalizing petolium pipelines, but unable to do same for those bombing & destroying lifes, places of worship & institutions. what a priority. and after arrest, what next?

Today is the 30th day of june which actually means the end of the month of june. So me thinks tomorrow will judge his words and i am having a feeling that the war is over and the Boko Idiots have lost just as there predecessors (al quadae, Taliban and co.) have always lost.

Our military is a very very BIG DISGRACE they are unable to arrest or capture those bombing & destroying lives, Churches & institutions in the NORTH. Nigeria Military has gotten so so so so so LOW that they tricked people, instead of going after any Militant & terrorist in there hideout i mean taking the fight to them like United State did in Afghanistan. Well our Military is part and parcel of BOKO HARAM that is why they are not in the NORTH Fighting there brothers instead they are in the south tricking ( Ex-Militant ) English Ex, what is EX... We are almost saying the same thing ASO, am also waiting to see tomorrow before i can judge, at least they did not attack any church last sunday, they only went ahead to break through our own Naija made Kravavi Prison.
