THE General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, has dissociated himself from an anti-Governor Olusegun Mimiko's text message being circulated across the state.

Joshua denied ownership of the hoax text message being circulated across the state that he had purportedly prophesied against Mimiko's second term in office.

The statement read in part: “The General Overseer has debunked a hoax text message making the rounds that he has prophesied that Governor Rahman Olusegun Mimiko will not be re-elected as governor of Ondo State.”

The cleric declared that such could not have emanated from him being a man of God who would never be part of a cheap political propaganda of a family of lies.

He said he had nothing against Mimiko’s second term ambition. He added that he did not at time give any prophecy against the governor's second term ambition.

Joshua made the clarification, on Monday, in an electronic press statement issued by his consultant, Legaville Konsult, in Akure, the state capital.

The cleric affirmed that it was not in his character to give prophecies concerning national and international issues in the secret.

“The opinion of God on the destinies of nations and issues of national importance as revealed to me by God are always given in our church services which are broadcast live,” he said.

[1] Sports results are scarcely "issues of national importance".

[2] Plus, of course, said broadcasts are edited for effect.
