papadip at 22-08-2012 05:20 PM (11 years ago) (m) The main issue is how do we get this money looted back? Saying someone looks like monkey or ugly is childish. This is not a beauty contest. Let’s have some form of maturity. Getting personal will not do anything. Nature is what nature is all human beings are descendants of apes, monkeys etc…. either you like it or not. Humans did not descend from monkeys and primates. That's what science tells you but they don't have proof to back it up. Scientists will say anything to make ppl think God isn't real or the creator. You go to museum you see full dinosaur figure, full skeleton figure, how come you don't see half monkey half human figures and bones. It's total B.S. Its sad if you believe the scientists and not the biblical theory that God created humans in his own image and the animals/plants separately Posted: at 22-08-2012 05:48 PM (11 years ago) | Hero

I can understand the way you feel and you are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine even if we disagree. There is nothing sad about this and there is no need to use the word BS as we are all adults. We cannot conveniently be selective when it comes to science. We might as well dishonour DNA among other things. This has nothing to do with religion and bible. I am glad you used the word “biblical theory”. I would not want to debate bible given obvious reasons but I’ll say this, bible itself is contradictory. I was a student of theology for good three semesters before switching to another major and in addition to my religious background I am no stranger to bible. Most of these scientists are very religious. We have benefited a whole lot from science from riding fine cars, flying airplanes, medicine, communication, and so on and so forth. An example is IT which is one of the greatest wonders of life as you can see you and I are communicating virtually. Sickle cell a typical African or black disease is another prime example where blood transfusions maybe required for treatment. Majority of Jehovah Witnesses don’t believe in blood transfusions.
On a personal note my childhood friend a Jehovah Witness nearly lost his only child because he and his wife did not want their child to be treated with blood transfusion for sickle cell. At that time I said these words to them “it took you guys 11 years to have this child via artificial insemination reluctantly and now again you don’t want this treatment based on bible” that’s when they accepted the treatment for their child and she survived. She is hale and hearty as we speak at the age of 30.
Bible and Koran played a huge role in the enslavement of Africans. Our culture and religion were nearly destroyed by slavery we were branded as idol worshipers. In my own opinion religion is based on culture. These same religious books condoned slavery, adultery, polygamy, rape, incest, murder just to mention a few. I can cite passages in the bible to back my points. My question now is; are we descendants of Adam & Eve incestuously? ……. I have nothing against the Bible, Koran and any religion….. Moreover is it nice to say someone looks like monkey? The same derogatory words used by a lot of white folks describing Africans? I don’t like any Nigerian politician but I won’t say the president looks like a monkey which prompted my response initially…. I rest my case. Were both entitled to our own opinions. No matter how long we debate it'll get us nowhere. There is no proof that humans derived from primates/monkies. How is bible contradictory at least bible has proof. What makes you think those scientists are religious? Scientists will do anything to debunk the truth of how the world was created. They tell you that the world was created by big bang, ppl derived from monkies, and all sorts of rubbish with no proof. Even if humans came from monkies, they don't know where or how that monkey and human step foot on Earth sef or who put them there. Yes we have beneffited from science but science did not start it all. Jehovah witnesses is a false religion, they're false prophets. Are we descendants of Adam and Eve? Yes! There's even a video called "Human Family Tree" of Natgeo to prove it, unlike scientific theories that leads you nowhere with no proof and there's numerous YouTube videos proving that evolution is FALSE! http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/human-family-tree/ Posted: at 23-08-2012 10:51 PM (11 years ago) | Hero

papadip at 25-08-2012 04:08 AM (11 years ago) (m) Thank you very much about your response. I just want you to bear in mind that this just an exchange of opinions which I found very healthy. It is part of human learning therefore from my side it is not personal. I am glad you agreed with Spencer Wells (remarkable scientist) I did not have to click on the link you posted because I have used his findings very well the past two years or more teaching kids during black history month. You will be surprised then about his thoughts regarding this subject. I have so much respect for the young man. Well you did not answer some of my questions especially one in particular which I would now re-phrase differently: How did we multiply from Adam and Eve? How did we multiply? You didn't watch the video so that's why you didn't learn. Posted: at 25-08-2012 01:58 PM (11 years ago) | Hero
