The Emir of Bornu, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro, who stood in as the bride’s father, gave out Buhari’s daughter after the payment of a golden coin, equivalent of N200,000 as bride price.
Former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sherriff, received the bride on behalf of the groom.
The wedding fatiha was conducted by the chief imam of the Yahaya Road Jumat Mosque at the same venue in the presence of Gen. Buhari and invited dignitaries, including Senator Kanti Bello, Gen. Buba Marwa and governors of Kano, Borno, Kaduna states, and the deputy governor of Nasarawa State, under a very tight security.
Speaking to journalists at the venue of the reception, which was opened to men alone, General Buhari expressed satisfaction that his daughter, who is a lawyer, got married.
He advised the couple to continue to be patient with each other and remain prayerful in all their endeavours.


Thank God there was no explosion, but if it was a Christian marriage. Somebody will employ some group of people to come and boom the place and destroy souls. May God help all of you for your wicked act!

Alhamdulillah may ALLAH (S W T ) guide & protect their marriage & bless them with nice & good childreen ameen. some peole in this country are STUPID they always abuse BUHARI on any  matter but we know is out of jealousy no matter where u came frm this part of the country u must agree wit me this man is the most honest sincere & accountable person i challenge u 2 produce any body in this country like BUHARI within the public servants frm 1960 to date.
